For some reason, I'd never thought to see what ideas I could come up with by combining two different pictures, as you mentioned in that interview. Now that I'm trying it with my collection, I'm coming up with all sorts of things I'm interested in trying out.
I for one would love a post describing techniques like that, that you use to come up with your ideas.
